Kris Myers

Kris Myers of Umphrey’s McGee is putting his drumming talents to use in a few side projects through out the next month.Â
On Tuesday, July 28, he’ll be at Webster’s Wine Bar (1480 W. Webster) with the Kris Myers Quartet. The show should be pretty jazzy (he does have a masters in jazz drumming) and its free so stop by at 9:30 to check it out. And he’ll be back at Webster’s with his quartet on Tuesday, August 25, at the same time.
The Kris Myers project which has the same make up as the Kris Myers Quartet will be doing a post Lollapalooza show at Reggies (2105 S. State) on Saturday, August 8, at midnight.Â
Then on Tuesday, August 18, Kris will be playing with DJ Wyllys on turntables at 9pm at the Tonic Room (2447 N. Halsted). This super dancy show costs only at $8.
These will be my first time checking out Kris’ side projects but if he lives up his Umphrey’s awesomeness (I’m sure he will) these shows are definitely worth checking out.
